Papa's Place, founded by Nicole Haney, stems from her healthcare experience and a desire for improved care for seniors. Inspired by her grandfather's Alzheimer's journey, Nicole established Papa's Place in Big Rapids, MI, specializing in dementia care. Our day program, led by Certified Dementia Practitioners, fosters meaningful engagement. Additionally, our home care services, including Family Respite and Medication Management, offer compassionate support. We prioritize customization, ensuring dignified care for each individual, fostering relationships where all feel valued. At Papa’s Place Adult Day Center, we provide a structured, engaging, and compassionate environment where participants can enjoy meaningful activities each day. Our April Activity Calendar includes a blend of social, cognitive, and physical wellness programs, ensuring that every participant feels valued and connected. From our daily group cooking activity, where individuals prepare their own lunch, to interactive brain games, movement exercises, and sensory activities, each day is designed to enhance quality of life. Special weekly themes like Motivational Mondays, Wellness Wednesdays, Throwback Thursdays, and Fun Fridays add excitement, while our monthly Resident Council Meeting (held on the first Wednesday) gives participants a voice in shaping their experience. Whether it’s enjoying outdoor gardening, participating in reminiscence therapy, or engaging in a friendly game of bingo, Papa’s Place fosters a welcoming community where everyone can Join as a Friend, Leave as Family.
